About the role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented AVP, Technical Data Analyst to join our dynamic IT Global Services Team at Everest, located at their US headquarters in Warren, New Jersey, USA.

Job Description:

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented AVP, Technical Data Analyst to join our dynamic team. As an AVP, Data Analyst, you will be responsible for interpreting data, analyzing results, and providing actionable insights to drive informed decision-making across Everest. You will work closely with IT & business stakeholders to understand their data needs, review existing data assets, and present findings in a clear and concise manner. You will also be a strong collaborator who thrives at the intersection of business/data and technical delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review & document current data assets across source systems

  • Document the current process and limitations of the current process

  • Perform exploratory data analysis to uncover trends, patterns, and anomalies

  • Generate the artifacts to showcase mapping and global transformation rules that needs to be applied to the data

  • Work closely with data architects and business analysts to understand the global data reporting requirements and standards

  • Validate data accuracy, completeness and integrity of the data in the source systems

  • Identify and document data quality issues and discrepancies

  • Provide decision-support through ad-hoc analysis, data profiling etc.

  • Provide product ownership and technical support to developers

  • Support multiple project(s) from a SDLC perspective

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, MIS, or a related field

  • 10-15 years of experience as a Data Analyst or similar role in the P&C insurance industry

  • Solid knowledge of the P&C insurance domain particularly policy & claims management systems

  • Proven experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or related roles.

  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages (e.g., SQL, Python, R, etc.).

  • Experience working in Cloud native technologies

  • Strong experience in Data Modeling, Data Governance & MDM

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong communication and storytelling skills to present insights to senior stakeholders

  • A collaborative mindset and the ability to build alignment across teams

  • Experience with Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).

Nice to Have:
  • Exposure to modern data platforms and cloud-based analytics environments

  • Experience supporting data governance initiatives

  • Experience managing and working closely with development team(s)

  • Experience performing Product owner roles is a plus

The base salary range for this position is $175,000 - $210,000 annually. The offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, experience, qualifications and work location. All offers include access to a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, 401k match, retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
