Team Overview
The Senior Data Analyst will report into a Senior Manager of Data Science & Analytics. As part of the Data Analytics Team, you will help with development of Transunion's IP Geolocation technology. This position requires a understanding IP network topology. You will be working with other Data Analytics Team members as well as Engineers and Data Scientists to help improve automation algorithms and leveraging big data to arrive at the most up to date, accurate information to our customers. You will be working with large datasets to try to get insights with how our data is performing or where to make large improvements for our customers. Your work will have a direct impact on the quality of Transunion products, and the level of service we are able to provide to our customers. This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.
Role Overview and Core Responsibilities
  • Identify and implement automation algorithm improvements
  • Utilize tools to query, extract and transform large datasets using SQL, R, Python, Mongo DB, BigQuery
  • Provide analytic insights to large data set that can help impact the quality of our data
  • Leverage problem-solving skills and work through complex problems with various stakeholders

Required Knowledge and Experiences
  • 5+ years of data science experience
  • Proven experience with tools such as SQL, R, Python, Mongo DB and BigQuery
  • Sufficient ability translating technical terminology for non technical stakeholders
  • Experience leading data science initiatives

Pay Scale Information:
The U.S. base salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $150,000 annually. *The salary range for this position reflects a reasonable estimate of the range of compensation for this job. At TransUnion, actual compensation is based on careful consideration of additional factors such as (but not limited to) an individual's education, training, work experience, job-related skill set, location, and industry knowledge, as well as the scope and responsibilities of the position and market considerations. Regular, fulltime non-sales positions may be eligible to participate in TransUnion's annual bonus plan. Certain positions may be also eligible for long-term incentives and other payments based on applicable company guidance and plan documents.
