Job description

Part-Time Licensed Mental Health Therapist (Remote – Arizona Licensed Only)

Location: Fully Remote (Must hold an active Arizona license)
Schedule: Part-Time | Preferred Hours: Weekdays 2 PM – 9 PM | Weekend availability a plus

Backpack Healthcare is growing—and we're excited to be expanding our services into Arizona. As we build access to high-quality mental health care for children, teens, and young adults in new communities, we're looking for part-time licensed therapists to help support this growth.

This is a unique opportunity to join early, contribute to program development, and make a direct impact as we establish and expand services across the state.


About Backpack Healthcare

We are a clinician-led, minority-owned organization focused on delivering accessible, evidence-based mental health care. Our model is designed to support clinicians while improving outcomes for the youth and families we serve.


Compensation
  • $55 per billable hour — LCSW, LPC, LMFT (independently licensed)

Expected Caseload: 15–22 sessions per week

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individual and family therapy via secure telehealth
  • Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists, PMHNPs, and clinical team members
  • Maintain timely and accurate documentation
  • Support families with education and care coordination

Qualifications
  • Active Arizona license (LPC, LCSW)
  • Comfortable working independently in a remote setting
  • Experience or strong interest in working with children, teens, and families
  • Bilingual (Spanish) strongly preferred
