Associate Network Engineer

Wyoming, MI (4 days in person, 1 day remote)

Our large food distribution client is looking for an eager-to-learn Network Engineer to join their Core Network Services Team.

What You Will Receive:

As an Elevate consultant you will be immersed in a supportive learning environment that includes:

  • Full-time, entry-level IT career (40hrs week)
  • Technical Training (80-100 hours): Receive focused, hands-on technical training. This training is designed to build upon your existing knowledge and equip you with practical skills for your role, which is customized to you and your positions technology stack.
  • Professional Development: Enhance your soft skills, communication, and business acumen through dedicated professional development sessions.
  • Mentorship: Be paired with experienced mentors who will provide guidance, support, and insights as you navigate your early IT career.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Cyber Security, Network Engineering, Information Technology, or a related degree field
  • 0-1 years of professional technology experience, relevant internship a plus
  • Must have good innovation, creativity, problem solving, negotiating, teamwork skills, communication skills, and a service-oriented mindset
  • Familiarity with: WAN and LAN network activities, Cisco switch and routers, firewalls, and network monitoring applications

Responsibilities:

  • Assists in troubleshooting issues within the WAN and LAN
  • Aids in performing new WAN Circuit ordering and provisioning
  • Assists in firewall administration and support
  • Assists in RF design and maintenance
  • Assists with authentication services administration and troubleshooting
  • Documents all changes to the network environment
  • Develop and maintains hardware and procedural standards for all facets of the network environment
  • Maintains through knowledge of software and firmware revisions for all products controlled by the network domain
  • Participates in the team’s on-call rotations schedule
