What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an after work professional, and why are they important?

I'm sorry, but 'After Work' is not a recognized professional occupation, so I cannot provide a relevant answer.

What challenges might I face balancing after work responsibilities with a full-time job?

Balancing after-work responsibilities can be challenging, especially if you have a demanding full-time job. You may find it difficult to maintain a healthy work-life balance, manage fatigue, or dedicate time to personal growth and networking activities in the evenings. Setting clear boundaries, prioritizing self-care, and communicating your needs with your employer and family can help you manage these challenges effectively. Many professionals also benefit from leveraging time management tools and establishing routines that support both their career and after-work commitments.

What is an after work?

An After Work job is a part-time or flexible position that takes place outside of regular working hours, typically in the evening or on weekends. These jobs are ideal for individuals looking to earn extra income while maintaining a full-time job or other commitments. Common After Work jobs include roles in retail, hospitality, customer service, and freelance work. They provide flexibility and additional financial support without interfering with daytime responsibilities.

  • Are available to work part-time during "after-school" hours beginning in the fall
  • Experience as a camp counselor, tutor, teacher, coach, after school instructor, or in preschool or daycare is a plus!
  • Are comfortable driving and have a flexible schedule, for example, an Uber or Lyft driver, a student, or a retired person looking for a part-time job.

You will receive thorough, paid training on how to help children learn chess.

Here's a sample schedule of how your day might look:

  • 2:45pm - Arrive at school, check in, set up
  • 3:00pm - Kids arrive, you teach lesson
  • 3:20pm - Kids play practice games

  • Ability to learn and use new software tools

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a classroom of 10-20 students
  • Use our curriculum to demonstrate and effectively communicate all of the basic rules (piece movement, how to castle, check, checkmate, etc) and strategy
  • Promote good sportsmanship among students
  • Responsibly store and maintain all teaching equipment and materials
  • Supervise parent pickup

Guaranteed response within 72 hours of applying.
