Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and responsible individual to join our team as an After School Teacher and Van Driver. This dual-role position involves providing a safe, engaging, and educational environment for children after school hours, as well as safely transporting students to and from designated locations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and engage children in educational and recreational activities during after school hours.
  • Develop and implement lesson plans and activities that promote learning and social development.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all children in your care.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment.
  • Drive the company van to transport students safely to and from school and other approved locations.
  • Perform daily vehicle inspections and report any maintenance or safety issues promptly.
  • Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations while driving.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and supervisors regarding student progress and transportation schedules.
  • Assist with attendance tracking and record keeping as needed.

Work Schedule

Monday through Friday 2:30pm-6:30pm. Full time hours available during ISD breaks (Thanksgiving, Christmas, Summer)

Requirements:


  • At least 1 year experience working in a licensed child care center or licensed after school program
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in early childhood education or related field preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Experience working with children in an educational or recreational setting.
  • Ability to drive a passenger van safely and responsibly.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • CPR and First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
  • Ability to pass background checks and drug screenings.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
