Our focus is not only on providing educational support, but also on fostering creativity, physical activity, and a sense of adventure. With a diverse range of activities like STEM, arts and crafts, sports, and outdoor play, we aim to create a well-rounded and enjoyable experience for children from kindergarten to 5th grade.
Our Environment: Nestled on Grove St. in Newton, our location boasts a fantastic facility with ample space for indoor and outdoor activities. Our playground includes tennis and basketball courts, offering endless opportunities for fun and skill-building. Conveniently situated near the "T" (Riverside stop on the Green Line), we're easily accessible and surrounded by a vibrant community.

Position Details: Schedule:
  • Monday: 2:15 PM - 6 PM.
  • Tuesday: 2:15 PM - 6 PM.
  • Wednesday: 11:45 AM - 6 PM.
  • Thursday: 1:15 PM - 6 PM.
  • Friday: 2:15 PM - 6 PM.

Compensation: Your experience matters! We offer competitive compensation ranging from $19 to $22 per hour.

Responsibilities: Your role is vital in shaping our children's experiences and making their time at Rec Place memorable.

Your responsibilities include:
  • Preparing engaging activities and snacks prior to the children's arrival (compensated time).
  • Interacting with children during meal times, outdoor play, and leading hour-long activities.
  • Opportunity to create and lead activities in various spaces, such as the gymnasium, art room, or recreation room.
  • Collaborating with experienced teachers if you're new to the field.
