Description:

Join our dedicated team and make a difference in the lives of children in our before and after school programs! The School Age Child Care Site Supervisor is responsible for leading day-to-day operations at one of our licensed sites for children in grades K–6. This includes overseeing curriculum implementation, ensuring program compliance, maintaining a safe and nurturing environment, and providing leadership to site staff. Typical work schedules during the school year are Monday - Friday, from 6:25AM - 8:30AM, and 3:00PM - 5:45PM.


Location: Stevens Point Area Public Schools


Pay: $14.50 – $16.00/hour

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and engage groups of school-age children in a safe, caring, and fun environment
  • Plan, implement, and evaluate daily curriculum and activities
  • Ensure program is compliant with YMCA policies and state licensing requirements
  • Manage site logistics, including attendance, snack preparation, behavior guidance, and parent communication
  • Maintain accurate records and complete required documentation
  • Communicate effectively with children, parents, school staff, and YMCA leadership
  • Serve as a positive role model and demonstrate YMCA core values

Work Schedule (school year 2025-2026/2026-2027): Monday – Friday 6:25 a.m. – 8:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. to 5:45 p.m.

Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • Must meet DCF 251 Teacher qualifications under Wisconsin state licensing rules for group child care centers
  • Experience working with children ages 5–12 in a group setting
  • Strong understanding of child behavior and group dynamics
  • High energy, creativity, patience, and the ability to lead with confidence
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Must demonstrate the YMCA core values of Caring, Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility
  • Must provide a physician-signed health examination and complete a fingerprint background check prior to employment

Certifications (Required within 60 days of hire):
