What is an after school program coach?

After School Program Coaches are professionals who lead, supervise, and mentor students in after-school programs. They design and facilitate activities such as sports, arts, homework help, and social-emotional learning sessions to provide enrichment and support beyond regular school hours. Their goal is to create a safe, engaging environment that promotes personal growth, teamwork, and academic success for children and teens. Coaches often collaborate with school staff and parents to ensure programs meet the needs of participants. They may also be responsible for organizing events and maintaining program records.
