Job description

The Village School of Naples is seeking a dedicated and passionate Upper School Math Teacher to join our team for the 2026-2027 school year. This position offers an exciting opportunity to engage students in rigorous, inquiry-based learning within a collaborative, faith-based environment.
Position Overview
The Upper School Math Teacher is responsible for designing and delivering dynamic, student-centered instruction that supports mathematical understanding, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Courses may include Algebra, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, Statistics, AP Calculus, and AP Computer Science, depending on school needs and candidate expertise. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong content knowledge, instructional flexibility, and a commitment to educating the whole student.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement engaging, standards-aligned lesson plans and assessments
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field
  • Teaching certification or licensure appropriate for upper school education
  • Experience teaching upper school mathematics; Advanced Placement (AP) experience preferred
  • Strong classroom management, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to integrate technology and innovative instructional strategies into daily instruction
  • Passion for inquiry-based, student-centered learning and interdisciplinary teaching
  • Commitment to ongoing professional growth and collaborative teamwork
  • Interest in coaching students and/or participating in extracurricular or after-school programs
  • Strong understanding of 21st-century instructional practices and interdisciplinary connections
