Position: After School Class Instructor (20:1 ratio) 

Job Type: Part-Time (15-20 hours/week) Grades K-5 or 6-8 assignments


Pay: $25-$35 per hour

We are looking for experienced and passionate academic after-school class instructors who will deliver a comprehensive Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) program at elementary and middle school sites. You’ll engage students with hands-on activities that promote self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship skills, and responsible decision-making, all while integrating literacy and fostering an inclusive environment.

 Instructor Qualifications:

  • Associate Degree or completion of two years of study at an institution of higher education?
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish
  • Minimum of 2 years of teaching a class of 20 students
  • Reliable transportation- the ability to arrive at work on time
  • Fun, upbeat personality with strong interpersonal skills and passion for teaching and learning.
  • Impeccable time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work with students who learn differently, including those with ADD/ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)/mild, and gifted learners (experience working with neurodiverse students is a plus)
  • Patience and empathy to support students facing various academic and personal challenges.
  • Respect for students' cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds, promoting an inclusive and supportive environment
  • Must pass a background check
