About the Role:
Children's Choice After Care Inc in Batavia, IL is looking for a passionate and energetic After School Care Assistant to join our team! This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of children in a fun, supportive, and nurturing environment. Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and engage children in age-appropriate activities during after school hours
  • Assist with homework help and academic support for enrolled students
  • Plan and facilitate recreational, creative, and educational activities
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom or activity space
  • Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and program staff
  • Monitor student behavior and implement positive behavior management strategies
  • Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all children in the program
Requirements:
  • Experience working with school-age children in a childcare, education, or recreational setting
  • Warm, patient, and enthusiastic demeanor with a genuine love for working with kids
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to pass a background check as required by Illinois childcare regulations
  • CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work afternoon/early evening hours consistently
