We are accepting applications for potential openings at Kids on Campus for the 2026-2027 academic year. The need for these positions are dependent upon operational needs including enrollment and staffing. When a need arises, the department will select candidates from this posting. These are grant-funded positions.

Positions available at our afterschool sites are located OFF the Ohio University campus and potential work locations include:
  • Eastern Local Schools in Reedsville, OH
  • Federal Hocking Secondary School in Stewart, OH
  • Nelsonville-York City Schools in Buchtel, OH
  • Millcreek Elementary School in Corning, OH

Department Summary
These are grant-funded positions and located off campus.
Afterschool teachers plan and implement activities during the afterschool program. They develop lesson plans, collect and review relevant math and literacy assessment data and act as a liaison between the school day and afterschool programs to ensure alignment with school day curriculum.
These positions fulfill the certified teacher requirement for our grantor. Pay is $19.00 per hour and can work up to 14 hours a week, including planning time. This is dependent on site needs and applicant availability. Successful applicants will work with the site supervisor to arrange a weekly schedule.
Position Profile
Provides care and education to children. Provides support and communication to families. Supervises educational program activities and operations.
Level Summary
Manages and resolves complex and ambiguous issues. Works on both strategic and operational challenges, addressing problems that require advanced knowledge and experience. Often takes on leadership roles in projects or initiatives.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Provides mentorship and guidance to team. Infrequently has a limited number of direct reports.

May have budgetary responsibility for small-scale projects or initiatives.

Solves complex problems, often with limited guidance.

Physical Requirements
This role is primarily desk-based and involves extensive use of desktop computers. Occasionally, the job may require travel to attend meetings and programs.
Minimum Qualifications
Requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field and 5 or more years of related professional experience, or equivalent education and experience.
