Good Shepherd Catholic School in Kendall (Miami Dade County), Florida has an opening for a part-time After School Care Counselor for the 2026-27 school year. The applicant must be nurturing, creative and a dedicated professional with the ability to oversee students and plan activities. The candidate performs all duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami.
Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent required; Associate degree preferred.
  • Department of Children and Family 40-hour training and certification preferred; if candidate does not possess training, must be willing to obtain its completion within the first year of employment.
  • Ability to plan and supervise both indoor and outdoor activities, including homework time.
  • Virtus Certified or ready to obtain certification.
  • Excellent oral and written English communication skills, including clear speaking voice.
  • Good spelling and grammar required.
  • Supportive and respectful of the mission and tenets of the Roman Catholic Church; experience in Roman Catholic environment preferred.
  • Knowledge of the basic tenets of the Catholic Church.
  • Must have a professional demeanor, including the dress code.
