Job description

Security Clearance: Active TS/SCI with CI Polygraph required Position The National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) is the U.S. Government agency in charge of designing, building, launching, and maintaining America’s intelligence satellites.
Develop. Acquire. Launch. Operate. Apogee's ideal Space Mod & Sim Engineer will provide support to an Intelligence Community space customer within the SED Office of Enterprise Analysis. The primary responsibility of the Space Mod & Sim Engineer is to perform orbital modeling and simulation to support the characterization of adversary (red force) behaviors, including tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs), and blue force behaviors to support highly realistic multi-intelligence (MULTINT) simulations. The simulation portfolio encompasses land, air, and sea weapon systems, including both strategic and theater-level capabilities. Required • Bachelor’s Degree (STEM preferred) • 3+ years of relevant experience
• Experience with Space Modeling and Simulation
• Satellite Toolkit (STK) and/or Advanced Framework for Simulation Integration and Modeling (AFSIM) proficiencies
• Knowledge of space-based ISR systems and architectures including geospatial intelligence (GEOINT) and/or signals intelligence (SIGINT) • Ability to collaborate across stakeholder organizations • Strong communication skills to interface with customers, directorate/office representatives, and across systems engineering groups Desired Skills • Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and Cameo/SysML/UAF
• Proficiency with reaching out directly to subject matter experts for specific questions and coordination
• Working knowledge of the primary nation-state adversaries and the threats they pose to the United States. This role is not limited to a single geographic region or area of responsibility
• Experienced with All Source research and the Intelligence Community, product lines and the responsibilities of the agencies such as NASIC, MSIC, STRATCOM, ONI, NGIC, NGA, SWAC, etc.
• Experience with Command Modern Operations (CMO)
• Prior experience working within a combatant command and or NASIC, AFRL
• Prior NRO experience Work Schedule • Standard workweek and duty hours are 6:00am –7:00pm. Flexible scheduling is permitted for appointments, school, PTO, etc., provided employees are present for required meetings, presentations, and other essential duties. No remote work is authorized Pay • Target Salary Range: $110,000 – $130,000. The salary range listed represents the anticipated compensation for this position.
