Job Description:

This position is eligible for up to one day remote work perweek.

BASIC FUNCTION:

Salve Regina University seeks a relationship-driven professional toengage alumni and families in meaningful ways that inspire lifelongconnection and philanthropic support, with a strong emphasis onannual giving. Through personal visits, virtual meetings, events,and targeted outreach, this role builds authentic relationships bylistening to alumni experiences, sharing timely university updatesand funding priorities, and creating pathways for involvement. As akey member of the Advancement team, this position is responsiblefor securing annual gifts, engaging volunteers, and strengtheningalumni affinity.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Foster a collaborative and empowering work environment rootedin Salve Regina University's Mercy mission: demonstrate empathicleadership through the positive engagement of Advancement teammembers and campus partners.
  • Manage a portfolio of alumni to build meaningful relationshipsthat increase engagement, affinity, and annual giving; conductoutreach through in-person visits, Zoom meetings, events, andpersonalized communications.
  • Actively solicit and secure annual gifts from alumni, meetingestablished fundraising goals and performance metrics.
  • Serve as primary point of contact for assigned alumni and foridentified affinity groups, by sharing timely and relevantuniversity updates, strengthening their connection to SalveRegina's mission, priorities, and impact.
  • Identify, cultivate, and support alumni involvement asvolunteers, including participation in events, committees, andother engagement opportunities.
  • Partner with Advancement colleagues to strategically referalumni for deeper philanthropic conversations, including majorgifts and planned giving opportunities.
  • Support the planning and execution of Reunion programming, witha focus on driving alumni participation and reunion givingoutcomes.
  • Collaborate with Advancement team members to meet divisionalgoals related to alumni engagement, event participation, andfundraising performance
  • As part of the Advancement team work toward meeting the goalsof the division, including fund raising and alumni participation ingiving and event attendance. .
  • Develop and implement creative strategies to enhance alumnioutreach, strengthen relationships, and increase participation ingiving and engagement opportunities.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform other duties as required by Associate Director of AffinityGiving and the VP for University Advancement.

LICENSES, TOOLS, AND EQUIPMENT:

Valid driver's license.

ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:

The incumbent is not substantially exposed to adverse environmentalconditions.

Requirements:

Required :

  • A Bachelor's degree is required.
  • One year of fundraising or equivalent leadership/publicspeaking/sales experience
  • Salve Regina University graduates are encouraged to apply
  • Excellent organizational, oral and written communicationskills.
  • Must be a highly motivated self-starter, flexible, dedicated, conscientious and people-oriented with the ability to workunsupervised.
  • Must be willing to travel alone or with colleagues, and workevenings and weekends as necessary.
  • Strong computer skills required including knowledge ofMicrosoft Office and the Internet.
  • Two or more years of fundraising or admissions experience in auniversity setting.
  • Salve Regina University graduate.
  • Experience with Blackbaud Raiser's Edge.
