Job description

Company Overview

Verde Nexus is building a globally scalable ecosystem connecting AI-enabled education, workforce development, sustainability, agriculture, digital commerce, affiliate infrastructure, institutional partnerships, and marketplace opportunities.

The platform is designed for global reach across 47+ countries and 22+ languages, with AI-enabled learning, instructor and creator monetization, affiliate commerce, vendor marketplace infrastructure, sustainable and organic commerce, workforce development, and institutional market-access capabilities.

Verde Nexus is operating under a global-by-design, local-by-execution strategy. Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina serves as the company’s initial U.S. flagship demonstration market while international market development occurs in parallel.

About the Role

The Global Pilot & Strategic Partnerships Lead will own execution of Verde Nexus’s flagship pilot partnership strategy while coordinating specialized U.S. and international development lanes.

This person will report directly to the Founder & CEO and serve as the primary operating leader across workforce partnerships, agriculture and farmer partnerships, institutional and procurement relationships, corporate partnerships, and international market-development activity.

The successful candidate will manage the consolidated partnership pipeline, coordinate representatives and contractors, qualify opportunities, oversee follow-up, support pilot and partnership agreements, and provide executive-level reporting to the Founder.

This position begins as a 90-day project-based independent-contractor engagement with a contract-to-leadership pathway. High-performing candidates will receive priority consideration for the funded-stage Global Pilot & Strategic Partnerships Director position as Verde Nexus reaches appropriate operating-capital and payroll thresholds.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate workforce, agriculture, institutional, procurement, corporate, and international partnership-development activity.
  • Oversee execution of the Raleigh-Durham flagship pilot while supporting preparation of future U.S. and international markets.
  • Manage the consolidated partnership CRM and opportunity pipeline.
  • Establish weekly operating cadence and accountability across partnership representatives.
  • Identify and develop strategic relationships with workforce organizations, universities, community colleges, agricultural networks, institutional buyers, corporations, public-sector entities, and international partners.
  • Support development of pilot briefs, proposals, MOUs, purchasing relationships, and commercial partnership agreements.
  • Monitor partnership KPIs, pipeline progression, and measurable pilot outcomes.
  • Qualify opportunities before escalation to the Founder & CEO.
  • Coordinate international market-development activity and regional opportunity research.
  • Maintain consistent Verde Nexus positioning and partnership messaging across markets.
  • Prepare the Founder’s weekly executive partnership brief.
  • Collaborate with operations, technology, marketing, and program teams as Verde Nexus scales.

What Success Looks Like

Strong performance in this role will be demonstrated through disciplined CRM management, timely follow-up, qualified meetings, activated partners, institutional and buyer opportunities progressing toward agreement, well-organized global market development, measurable commercial opportunities, and clear executive reporting.

Ideal Candidate

Experience in strategic partnerships, business development, ecosystem development, program management, institutional relations, procurement, economic development, workforce development, agriculture, sustainability, education technology, digital commerce, or related areas is highly valuable.

Strong candidates should demonstrate:

  • experience managing complex partnership pipelines or multi-stakeholder programs;
  • measurable partnership or business-development outcomes;
  • strong negotiation and executive communication skills;
  • comfort working across distributed and international teams;
  • experience using CRM systems, KPIs, dashboards, and structured reporting;
  • global mindset and cross-cultural awareness;
  • sound judgment regarding which opportunities require executive escalation;
  • ability to operate independently in an early-stage, high-accountability environment;
  • familiarity with AI-enabled platforms, digital learning, marketplaces, commerce, or emerging technology is advantageous.

A bachelor’s or advanced degree in business, international business, global business, international relations, sustainability, education, agriculture, economic development, or a related field is welcomed, but demonstrated ability and measurable experience may substitute for formal credentials.

Engagement & Compensation

This position begins as a 90-day project-based engagement during Verde Nexus’s pilot and capital-development stage. The final engagement structure will be documented in writing before services begin and must reflect the actual working relationship and applicable law.

Compensation during the initial engagement will consist of clearly defined milestone-based payments and, where applicable, eligible commercial-performance compensation under a written compensation schedule.

At the conclusion of the initial 90-day engagement, Verde Nexus will conduct a formal performance and funding review. Depending on performance, organizational needs, and available operating capital, the relationship may:

  • conclude at the end of the project;
  • renew under a subsequent project-based engagement;
  • transition to an enhanced funded-stage contractor arrangement; or
  • become eligible for consideration for the salaried Global Pilot & Strategic Partnerships Director position.

Any future salaried role is contingent upon company funding, operating requirements, appropriate worker classification, and a separate written employment offer.

Investment capital, charitable donations, and grant awards are excluded from percentage-based compensation.
