Job description

PENDING CONTRACT AWARD

Job Title: Aerospace Structural Welder

Location: FRCASE NAS North Island/Naval Base Coronado, CA

Task Description:

AEROSPACE STRUCTURAL WELDER, BLS 51-4121, SCA 23010

Function: Use hand-welding, flame-cutting, hand-soldering, or brazing equipment to weld or join metal components or to fill holes, indentations, or seams of fabricated metal products.

Required experience: Minimum of five (5) years' experience in the field of DOD military aviation maintenance in the last ten (10) years. Of the five (5) years, the Contractor shall have a minimum of three (3) years' experience of aeronautical welding in an aviation maintenance environment. Must have demonstrated knowledge, experience, and working level skills/ability in area of aviation and aerospace welding, and structures sheet metal and fabrication. Must follow Military Specifications 1595 in the following materials: Steel, Stainless Steel, and Aluminum.

Required education: High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Graduate of a school equivalent to Navy A and/or C school or Certificate of Welding.

**Where there are conflicts between Department of Labor 23010 category description and theNAVAIR Manual NA 01-1A-34, the NA 01-1A-34 takes precedence.

Compensation

$44.12/hour

Other Compensation

Employees will receive a health and welfare fringe benefit of $7.75 for every hour paid up to 80 hours per pay period.

Benefits

Employees are offered medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are able to enroll in KAI's 401k plan. Employees accrue bi-weekly from the first week of service 5.54 hours of PTO. KAI employees at NAS North Island/Naval Base Coronado, CA will have 11 paid holidays.

Employment is contingent on (a) your ability to provide appropriate proof of your identity and eligibility to work in the United States; (b) your references and any background check being satisfactory to the Company; (c) you successfully passing a pre-employment drug test; and (d) your ability to get a required clearance by your effective start date, if needed; and (e) KAI commencing performance on this contract.
