We are looking for someone who is, able to see the future of aviation transparencies, and take our exceptional products to the next level!

As the Plant Quality Manager - Aerospace Transparencies, you will be responsible for leading the Quality function for our Aerospace Transparencies manufacturing site in Huntsville, Alabama. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with AS9100, ISO 9001, FAA Part 21, and EASA Part 21 while driving a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence across the plant.

This position plays a critical role in ensuring product safety, regulatory compliance, and customer satisfaction within our global aerospace transparencies portfolio.

This is an On-site role reporting to the Huntsville, AL facility.  In this role you will report to the Senior Global Quality Manager - Transparencies.

Responsibilities:

  • Own and maintain site QMS ensuring compliance with AS9100, ISO 9001, and corporate standards; lead certifications and audit activities.

  • Ensure FAA/EASA Part 21 compliance for aerospace manufacturing; conduct internal audits and support customer/regulatory audits with timely CAPA closure.

  • Implement AS9145 (APQP/PPAP) for aerospace programs including process validation, deliverables, and risk mitigation strategies.

  • Provide quality leadership for new product introductions and process changes; oversee nonconformance investigations and MRB activities.

  • Conduct FMEA risk assessments, root cause analysis, and implement preventive controls to prevent recurrence.

  • Monitor quality KPIs, drive data-driven improvements, and implement Lean/Six Sigma methodologies to reduce defects and variation.

  • Lead and mentor quality team members while providing daily support to Production, Engineering, and Supply Chain for process control and compliance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related technical discipline.

  • Ten (10) or more years of experience in a Quality role preferably within aerospace or highly regulated manufacturing environments required.

  • Demonstrated experience with AS9100, ISO 9001, FAA Part 21, and EASA Part 21 regulatory standards required.

  • Strong background in auditing, CAPA/RCCA, MRB, and cross functional root cause problem solving required.

  • Proficiency with aerospace quality tools: APQP, SPC, FMEA, control plans, inspection techniques (NDT, CMM), and statistical software (e.g., Minitab/JMP) required.

  • Six Sigma Green Belt/Black Belt, AS9100/ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, CMQ/OE or equivalent certifications preferred.

  • Experience with ERP/QMS systems (e.g., QAD, ETQ Reliance) preferred.
