Oceanit is seeking a motivated and collaborative Project Engineer to support the planning, execution, and delivery of multidisciplinary engineering projects. The Project Engineer works closely with technical teams, project managers, and clients to develop innovative solutions while ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role offers opportunities to contribute across the full project lifecycle, from concept development and design through implementation and client support.

THE VALUE YOU DELIVER:
  • Support the planning, coordination, and execution of engineering projects.
  • Prepare engineering calculations, technical analyses, specifications, reports, and project documentation.
  • Develop and review engineering designs, drawings, and technical deliverables.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, subcontractors, vendors, and clients to ensure successful project execution.
  • Monitor project schedules, budgets, and deliverables while identifying and resolving technical challenges.
  • Participate in project meetings, site visits, field investigations, and client presentations as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable engineering standards, regulations, quality requirements, and safety practices.
  • Assist with proposal development, cost estimates, technical writing, and business development activities.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement innovative engineering solutions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
THE EXPERTISE WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited program (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Environmental, Aerospace, or related engineering discipline).
  • 2–5 years of relevant engineering or project experience preferred.
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification preferred; Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and discipline-specific engineering software.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience supporting engineering projects from concept through implementation.
  • Experience working with government, commercial, or research clients.
  • Familiarity with project scheduling, budgeting, and project management principles.
  • Experience preparing technical reports, proposals, and presentations.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing priorities and contribute to innovative technical solutions.
