Pay Range: $22.25-26.65/hr. DOE

What You'll Do

As a Laminator, you'll help manufacture high-quality composite aerospace parts by performing a variety of techniques to laminate composite components according to drawings and Standard Work Instruction (SWI).


Responsibilities Include


  • Lay-up composite materials on mandrels according to the manufacturing plan and standard work instructions (SWI); wrap mold with composite materials, in preparation for curing process, to form composite parts.
  • Check for accuracy in all prior documentation of manufacturing planning; reporting all discrepancies and schedule concerns to the supervisor.
  • Verify materials being used are according to manufacturing plan.
  • Verify part ID tag and sign off on work performed.
  • Adhere to schedules and time allowances, takt time, for production requirements.


What We're Looking For

  • Manufacturing, production, assembly, construction, or other hands-on experience preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive tasks.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Comfortable working with your hands in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read and follow detailed work instructions.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift materials as needed.
  • Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.

Working Conditions


While performing the typical duties of this job, employees will experience the conditions noted below. PPE is provided to protect employees against physical harm or hazards in the workplace environment.


  • Exposure to loud sounds and distracting noise levels
  • Exposure to hazardous equipment
  • Exposure to contaminants
  • Usually work indoors. These sites may not be temperature controlled
  • Shared workspaces with other employees
  • Requires handling objects of up to 30 lbs.
  • Lifting, pushing, pulling, and bending
  • Standing and/or walking for 8 to 12 or more hours per day (varies based on role, shift, and overtime)


Required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)


Required PPE provided by SEKISUI Aerospace based on the employee’s position and exposure. Below are typical PPE used on the production floor. Appropriate PPE must be worn by all employees when on the production floor.


  • Ear Plugs - Earmuffs
  • Full Face Shield
  • Gloves (Latex, Rubber, Chemical Resistant, General Duty)
  • Protective Apron
  • Respirator
  • Safety Glasses - Safety Goggles

Pay


SEKISUI Aerospace is required by Washington law to include the pay for this role when hiring a Washington resident. Pay may be higher or lower for non-resident WA employees, based on the market data for their region, allowing us to pay employees competitively in different geographic markets.
