Venable LLP's Patent Prosecution and Counseling group seeks a patent agent with an aerospace engineering background and experience with engine technology to join the group working exclusively on technology prosecution matters in the Washington, DC or New York office.

The qualified candidate is a registered patent agent with examining experience at the USPTO or patent drafting experience in a law firm setting. The ideal candidate is seeking an opportunity to use their deep technical knowledge to work exclusively on patent prosecution and holds undergraduate and/or graduate degrees in aerospace engineering or mechanical engineering. Industry experience is a plus. Candidates must have excellent academic credentials, strong writing skills, and sharp analytical ability. All submissions must include a brief cover letter indicating office of interest, and undergraduate, and graduate school transcripts as applicable.

The salary range for this position is $160,000 to $180,000 per year, depending upon patent agent qualifications.
