Job Summary:
Seeking a Structural Design Engineer to support the design and development of structural components and functional systems for aerospace products. The role involves applying engineering principles, performing design analysis, developing CAD models, and supporting manufacturing and product development activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design moderately complex structural components, assemblies, and functional systems.
  • Apply engineering principles and analytical methods to support component and structural design solutions.
  • Analyze requirements for materials, structural components, and functional systems.
  • Develop and document engineering design data and support design release activities.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to evaluate and improve product designs.
  • Support design modifications to achieve performance, manufacturability, and quality objectives.
  • Prepare and maintain design documentation and engineering records.
  • Provide timely support for technical requests and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
  • Recommend process and design improvements to enhance team performance and product quality.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering with 2+ years of related experience, OR Master’s degree in Engineering
  • Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance (U.S. Citizenship required)
  • Strong communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Working knowledge of CAD software
  • Knowledge of ASME GD&T standards

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active Security Clearance
  • Experience with NX CAD software
  • Knowledge of machine shop fabrication and additive manufacturing processes
  • Understanding of Design for Assembly (DFA) and Design for Manufacturing (DFM)
  • Knowledge of metallic structures and composite materials
  • Ability and willingness to travel as needed.
