Radar Data Analyst
Full-Time with an Employee Owned and Best Places to Work Contractor
Onsite at Redstone Arsenal | Salary Range: $100,000-$175,000
Experienced Radar Data Analyst to perform analysis of both Ground Test and Flight Test data for all participating sensors. The purpose of the analyses is to inform MDA on the source data that feeds into the Missile Defense System (MDS) Command, Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) system to form tracks and perform system-level discrimination to assist Warfighter decision-making. Studies and analyses are also conducted on electronic countermeasures and electronic counter-countermeasures to understand impacts to system performance.
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct analysis of sensor data from MDA Ground and Flight Tests, focusing on data that feeds the Command, Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) system
  • Evaluate radar sensor performance across various MDS elements to support target tracking, discrimination, and system effectiveness
  • Perform electronic warfare impact assessments, including Electronic Attack (EA) and Electronic Protection (EP) effects
  • Contribute to technical reports, presentations, and actionable insights for Government stakeholders
  • Collaborate across multiple organizations to deliver timely analysis and mitigation strategies
  • Utilize tools such as Matlab, Linux, and PowerPoint to support data processing, analysis, and briefings

Qualifications:
  • U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law
  • Active Secret Clearance required
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related STEM field from an accredited institution and 5+ years of relevant radar data analysis experience
  • Proficiency with MATLAB or C++ and Linux
  • Technical experience with two or more elements of the MDS, preferably MDS radar(s), C2BMC and a weapon system
  • Experience in analyzing sensor data from one or more MDS radars such as AN/TPY-2, CDU, UEWR, SBX and LRDR
  • Ability to adapt to technically challenging situations and develop mitigation plans using available resources and data

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree in a related STEM field highly preferred
  • Experience with MDA Ground Test and Flight Test CONOPS
  • Understanding of the C2BMC message structure
  • Familiarity with one or more of the following specialized tools: BMC, EAB, CXEDT, CAATS (or other tactical C2 software)
  • Experience analyzing radar data with Electronic Attack (EA), Electronic Protection (EP) characteristics, or experience analyzing real work event data
  • Experience in analyzing radar waveform characteristics
  • Experience with GMD/GFC, particularly in its intersection with the MDS kill chain
