American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist with Level 3 NICU experience for a day shift position requiring ACLS, PALS, BLS, and NRP certifications.
Details- Respiratory Care unit within a 160-bed hospital staffed by 32 respiratory therapists
- Covers ICU, Med Surg, ER, and Level 3 NICU patient populations
- Day shift schedule of 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM on a 3x12 basis, totaling 36 hours per week
- Works every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday)
- No on-call requirements
- Uses ventilators including PB and Drager V500, Aerogen nebulizers, V60 BiPAP, HHFNC, Hamilton C-transport, Oscillator, Jet, Nitric, and Bubble CPAP
- Utilizes Epic EMR
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience in respiratory therapy
- Level 3 NICU experience required
- Acute care experience in Med Surg, ER, and ICU settings
- Experience managing BiPAPs, ventilators, and Heated High Flow units
- Experience assisting with intubations and bedside bronchoscopies
- Proficient EMR charting skills
- License required if applicable
- No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
- Assist with intubations and bedside bronchoscopies as part of daily responsibilities
- Manage high patient loads and higher acuity cases with strong time management skills
- Work independently and proactively within a Level 3 NICU setting
- Join a long-tenured, experienced staff in a cohesive, family-oriented environment
- Work in a new, state-of-the-art hospital facility
- Pewter gray scrub color required
