Job description

We are thrilled to announce that B. Robinson LLC is now part of our organization, GridSource! We are actively looking for Aerial Laborers for our San Antonio, TX location.
Pay rate: $18 - $24 per hour depending on experience
As an Aerial Laborer for B Robinson LLC, you play a vital role in the installation, maintenance, and repair of aerial telecommunications infrastructure. Working alongside a team, you will assist in tasks such as utility pole installation, cable placement, and equipment setup.
This is an Hourly Non-Exempt position that reports to the Aerial Foreman.
What you'll have:
  • Maintain a valid driver's license.
  • Responsible for turning in deliverables and production reports on a daily basis.
  • Must set up and maintain a safe working environment, adhering to proper personal protective equipment (PPE) guidelines.
  • Responsible for maintaining, cleaning, and organizing work area, truck, equipment, tools and office location.
  • Excellent teamwork skills, including the ability to collaborate effectively with coworkers, vendors, and customers.
  • Timely completion of required documentation
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with team members and communicate technical information clearly.
  • Turning in fuel slips and truck/equipment walkthroughs weekly fully completed
  • Maintain a clean workspace and clean shop/yard space.
  • Possess the physical stamina to perform physically demanding tasks, such as lifting heavy objects, working in various weather conditions, and performing manual labor.

What you'll do:
  • Consistently meet all customer requirements for workmanship quality, project completion timeliness, and project documentation.
  • Establish and maintain an effective and positive relationship with customers and team members at all times.
  • Present a positive and professional image for the company in all dealings with customers, vendors, employees, and the community. Maintains a professional appearance appropriate for the position and environment.
  • Protect the assets of the company and make prudent decisions to mitigate any and all risks that threaten the assets; this includes but is not limited to the security of all company equipment, vehicles, tools, and materials both at all job sites and at the company's office/warehouse.
  • Adhere to company and Area rules, policies, and procedures for all assigned customer projects.
  • Responsible for the quality of your work and personal conduct, assuring that all company workmanship standards and customer specifications and requirements have been met.
  • Adhere to all safety procedures and rules established for the company, required by OSHA regulations, and the National Electrical Safety Code (NESC).
  • Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of aerial telecommunications infrastructure, such as utility poles, cables, and associated equipment.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other stakeholders.
  • Report progress, challenges, and concerns to project leaders.
  • Collaborate with other construction crews and personnel as needed.
  • Utilize appropriate tools, equipment and PPE for construction tasks.
  • Responsible for assuring that all necessary and required paperwork and documentation is properly, correctly, and promptly submitted both for internal company recordkeeping and for documentation required by customers.
  • Responsible for use and care of the company's vehicles and all pieces of company construction equipment assigned.
  • Handle tools, equipment, and materials safely and efficiently. Maintain and organize tools and equipment in proper working condition.
  • Load and unload equipment and materials as required.
  • Responsible for being available 24/7 during scheduled on-call rotation.
  • Demonstrate flexibility in working hours and availability, as needed, to accommodate project demands, urgent tasks, and support for team members during peak periods or as the needs of the business dictates.
  • Other duties as assigned or requested.
