Job description

GM Equipment Corporation is a fast-growing equipment rental company with locations throughout Ohio, Michigan, and Pennsylvania. We provide construction equipment rentals throughout the region, specializing in Aerial Lifts (Boom & Scissor Lifts) and Material Handling Equipment (Telehandlers & Forklifts).
Due to significant growth, we are looking for an experienced Aerial Equipment Mechanic to join our Columbus, OH team.
If you have experience repairing aerial equipment and enjoy troubleshooting hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities
  • Prepare rental equipment for customers by performing service, inspections, and preventative maintenance
  • Diagnose and repair equipment issues
  • Perform hydraulic and electrical repairs
  • Repair or replace damaged or failed components
  • Perform maintenance and repairs on aerial lifts and material handling equipment
  • Complete accurate daily service records and paperwork
  • Work both in the shop and at customer/job sites
  • Maintain equipment in a safe, reliable, rental-ready condition
  • Perform other related mechanical and maintenance duties as needed
Qualifications & Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in heavy equipment repair or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting
  • Knowledge of engines and mechanical systems
  • Experience troubleshooting and repairing equipment
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug test
  • DOT medical card required for Field Service Technician position
Highly Preferred
We are especially interested in experienced technicians with:
  • JLG or Genie certification
  • Extensive aerial lift repair experience
  • 7+ years of equipment repair experience
Above-average pay is available for qualified JLG or Genie certified technicians with 7+ years of experience.
