Job description

Job Title: AEM Developer Architect
Location: Centennial, Colorado
Type: Contract To Hire
Contractor Work Model: Onsite
Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and development of enterprise-grade AEM solutions focusing on modularity, scalability, and maintainability
  • Develop custom components, templates, and workflows aligned with Adobe best practices and reusable design patterns
  • Implement AEM as a Cloud Service solutions following modern cloud-native architecture principles
  • Configure dispatcher settings, optimize caching strategies, and ensure platform performance
  • Collaborate with DevOps, infrastructure, and security teams to support deployments, upgrades, and system reliability
  • Drive architectural design discussions and provide technical leadership within the AEM ecosystem
  • Troubleshoot complex authoring, publishing, integration, and performance issues
  • Manage integrations with Adobe ecosystem tools including analytics and tag management, as well as external platforms
  • Establish and enforce standards for security, accessibility, SEO, and performance
  • Conduct code reviews and mentor developers to elevate engineering quality
  • Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and Agile delivery processes
  • Maintain comprehensive technical documentation to support scalability and knowledge transfer
Requirements
  • 10+ years of software engineering experience with significant hands-on delivery of AEM-based solutions
  • Deep expertise in AEM core frameworks including Sling, OSGi, JCR, dispatcher configuration, and workflow development
  • Extensive experience with AEM as a Cloud Service and modern cloud deployment models
  • Proficiency in Java, HTL (Sightly), JavaScript frameworks such as React or Next.js, and Node.js
  • Strong understanding of enterprise web architecture principles including J2EE and scalable application design
  • Experience with server-side rendering, caching strategies, and front-end performance optimization
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and DevOps practices
  • Education: Bachelor's degree required; additional preferred experiences include containerized environments, Kubernetes deployments (AKS), and integrating AEM with marketing tech stacks
