Job description

Join a dynamic healthcare team in the Pacific Northwest as an Emergency Department Technician. This role involves providing direct patient care and supporting clinical staff in a busy emergency setting. You will work under the supervision of Registered Nurses and Physicians, delivering compassionate care and technical assistance to patients in urgent need.
Job Summary
As an Emergency Department Technician, you will perform a variety of patient care activities including CPR, vital signs monitoring, cardiac telemetry, EKG acquisition, wound care, and assisting with procedures. You will also support triage, patient transport, and personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and feeding. Your role is vital in ensuring a smooth, efficient, and caring environment for patients and their families.
Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.
  • Completion of a state-approved Certified Nursing Assistant (NA-C), Medical Assistant Certified (MA-C), or Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) program with active certification.
  • Minimum of two years' experience in patient care, preferably in acute care, emergency departments, or as a first responder.
  • Telemetry experience is a plus.
Licenses and Certifications
  • Current Nursing Assistant (NA-C), Medical Assistant Certified (MA-C), or EMT certification.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire.
  • Medical Assistant Phlebotomy certification to be obtained within six months of hire.
Skills and Abilities
  • Strong knowledge of patient care practices and ability to maintain competencies.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a caring and professional demeanor.
