  • Staff, schedule, evaluate, train, develop and monitor subordinate personnel. Recommend wage increases, promotions, demotions, discipline and other employment actions for team members. 
  • Understand department objectives, standards, guidelines and budget to achieve effective management of department.
  • Reviews digital signage plan to ensure effective communication to patrons and back of house employees.
  • Ensures marketing promotion communication clearly articulates all rules.  Partners with Compliance to ensure submission to the gaming commission is timely and accurate.
  • Develop and maintain an internal monthly electronic marketing calendar outlining and identifying content and scheduling.
  • Manage all electronic content jobs through the production cycle including monitoring of completion and posting dates and reprioritize tasks as required.
  • Develop, plan and execute all promotional programs and special events for River City Casino and Hotel.
  • Prepare Pro-forma on promotions and events to determine worthiness.  Monitors financial figures for future promotions.
  • Perform post analysis of efficiency and profitability of all promotional programs and special events.
  • Host guests and accommodate their needs within program guidelines to ensure guest satisfaction and encourage return visits.
  • Communicate goals and needs in order to facilitate planning for River City Casino and Hotel's promotional programs.
  • Complies with Penn National Gaming, Inc.'s standards, guidelines, and objectives and maintains administrative processes to ensure proper planning and efficient operation of department functions.
  • Meets and communicates with other departments to facilitate planning for fulfilling their casino promotion and special event needs such as Food and Beverage, Decor, Construction, Direct Mail, Cash giveaways, negotiating vendor contracts, securing high-level prize insurance, MGC regulations, etc.
  • Research, contact and arranges for vendors to execute special needs.  Oversees all outside vendors in the execution of agreed-upon contracts.
  • Communicate all promotions to the surrounding St. Louis market by closely working with Database Marketing and Advertising departments.
  • Determine equipment necessary for activities to ensure the timely procurement of necessary parts and that par inventory is maintained; coordinates the upkeep and maintenance of equipment to ensure proper operation.
  • Secure high-level prize insurance.
  • Effectively plan, organize and prioritize a heavy workload with competing priorities.
  • Maintains a level of professionalism that will make guests want to return to River City Casino and Hotel. Anticipate the guest's needs and responds appropriately with a sense of urgency.
  • Actively work as a good will ambassador of Penn Entertainment properties.
  • Effectively communicate with management in order to fulfill and address any issues and needs requested by guests or employees.
  • Assist the marketing staff with the execution of marketing programs.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management.
