Director Marketing

Phoenix, AZ, US

The Marketing Director leads strategic marketing planning, demand generation, and daily marketing operations, including brand management, website development and maintenance, public relations, trade show coordination, social media strategy, competitive research, pricing strategy, and contract management. This role works closely with Apriva’s Sales team to launch products, drive revenue growth, and strengthen Apriva’s market position. The position also tracks key performance metrics using CRM and other tools to evaluate the effectiveness of marketing initiatives and product adoption.

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

  • Develop core positioning and messaging for Apriva products
  • Manage CRM tool that can measure sales activities and marketing campaigns, using key metrics to support any marketing tactics and efforts
  • Create, implement and oversee marketing communications programs that effectively describe and promote the organization and its products and support its sales and marketing efforts
  • Execute creative/positioning strategies and tactics to drive product awareness
  • Manage development, production, and distribution of promotional and collateral materials to support sales and marketing programs, including web development and administration, content management, e-campaigns, advertising, direct marketing, event marketing-brand identity/positioning, public relations (media), and advertising/collateral development
  • Implement all branding requirements and monitor compliance to guidelines for all marketing collateral
  • Manage websites for content updates and overall messaging
  • Manage, measure and expand social media, including Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn, Blogs, etc.
  • Provide direction and oversight to contracted graphic/design agency and web support
  • Write marketing collateral copy; review all press releases, corporate communications, etc.
  • Manage trade shows including logistics and marketing support, including booth design and graphics

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

  • 5+ years of experience in marketing leadership
  • Bachelor's Degree, MBA preferred
  • Payment industry experience preferred
  • Proven success in developing strategic marketing plans and implementing with proven success
  • Excellent organizational, time management, oral and written communication skills
  • Proficient computer knowledge including MS Windows, MS Office, WordPress, Adobe and Database software
  • Demonstrated skill in applying AI to the appropriate job tasks
  • Proficient in measured marketing techniques using HubSpot
  • Strong relationship building and negotiating skills
  • Self-motivated, team-oriented; proven experience of team concepts and attaining team goals
  • Past success in building new channels of marketing campaigns that resulted in increased business revenues. This includes using social media to increase demand/business results
  • Experience in developing new markets from planning and research to launch and execution
  • Business travel to support all sales aspects up to 20%
