As a Health and Wellness Coordinator for our Women's Health Navigation Program (WHNP), you will develop, implement, and coordinate comprehensive health promotion activities and wellness programs tailored to women's health needs. Key responsibilities include coordinating screenings, health risk assessments, educational presentations, and intervention programs, while representing hospital-based wellness services and facilitating appropriate referrals across service lines. You will support integration with the Integrative Medicine Care Team and behavioral health services, manage facility-based wellness operations, and lead community outreach initiatives. Preferred candidates will have a background in care coordination, primary care, or population health.

Location: This is a remote position, however the candidate must be local to Tucson, AZ, as we do require attendance for in-person meetings once amonth, which may be held at BUMN, BUMCT, or BUMCS. Occasional visits to a Tucson Primary Care clinic may be required, though infrequent.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8am-5pm

Banner University Medical Group is our nonprofit faculty practice plan associated with the University of Arizona Colleges of Medicine in Phoenix and Tucson. Our 1,100-plus clinicians provide primary and specialty care to patients at highly ranked Banner - University Medical Centers and dozens of clinics while providing mentorship to more than 1,200 residents and fellows. Our practice values and encourages the three-part mission of academic medicine: research, education and excellent patient care.

POSITION SUMMARY
This position is responsible for developing, implementing, performing, coordinating, and evaluating a wide range of health promotion activities and programs for targeted populations.
CORE FUNCTIONS
1. Develops, coordinates and performs facility-based health promotion services, activities, and programs including, screenings, health risk assessment, educational presentations and classes, intervention programs, outreach activities, and alliances to enhance community and business networks.
2. Schedules and prioritizes service/client requests to contribute to efficient and cost-effective operations. Demonstrates proper materials management skills and purchasing procedures.

3. Represents hospital and hospital-based services to internal & external publics, creating appropriate referrals and cross-selling opportunities for all service lines.
4. Works collaboratively with other health promotion coordinators and wellness staff in the development, implementation and evaluation of health and wellness program designs and scheduling of program events.
5. Provides leadership, consultation, education and planning services to the organization.
6. Executes administrative duties including independent decision making in the delivery of services and assisting in the management of Massage Therapists, Wellness Specialists and/or other local instructors and health professionals.
7. Works independently under general supervision. Manages all aspects of the wellness programs at assigned facilities and holds responsibility for all related facility-based operations.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Strong knowledge of Wellness as normally obtained through a Bachelor's degree in Wellness, Health Promotion or related field or equivalent education and experience.

Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
