Key Responsibilities

• Conduct diverse ultrasound studies, including but not limited to abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, vascular, and small parts examinations
• Prioritize patient comfort and safety throughout procedures, clearly explaining each phase to help ease any anxiety
• Work closely with radiologists and referring physicians to produce top-notch diagnostic imagery
• Maintain imaging equipment efficiently and report any technical issues promptly
• Document procedures accurately and manage patient information within the electronic health record system
• Engage in ongoing learning to stay current with ultrasound imaging advancements and best practices

Education Requirements

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field
• Preferred completion of a CAAHEP-accredited Sonography program

Essential Certifications

• Active certification by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is a plus
