Key Responsibilities
- Conduct diverse ultrasound studies, including but not limited to abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, vascular, and small parts examinations
- Prioritize patient comfort and safety throughout procedures, clearly explaining each phase to help ease any anxiety
- Work closely with radiologists and referring physicians to produce top-notch diagnostic imagery
- Maintain imaging equipment efficiently and report any technical issues promptly
- Document procedures accurately and manage patient information within the electronic health record system
- Engage in ongoing learning to stay current with ultrasound imaging advancements and best practices
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field
- Preferred completion of a CAAHEP-accredited Sonography program
- Active certification by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is a plus
- Solid technical expertise in sonographic imaging methods and patient positioning
