Job description

Role Overview

Sodexo is seeking a Clinical Dietitian to support Adventist HealthCare's Shady Grove Medical Center in Rockville, MD, White Oak Medical Center in Silver Spring, MD, and Fort Washington Medical Center in Fort Washington, MD. This position offers the opportunity to work across multiple acute care hospital settings within a leading healthcare system. While flexibility to support any of the three locations is required, the dietitian will be assigned to a single facility each workday and will not be expected to travel between sites during the same day.

  • Provide comprehensive medical nutrition therapy for hospitalized patients across diverse inpatient populations
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized nutrition care plans
  • Exercise order-writing privileges in accordance with hospital policies, approved protocols, and state regulations
  • Perform nutrition-focused physical exams and identify patients at risk for malnutrition to support timely intervention
  • Document nutrition care, recommendations, and patient outcomes while maintaining compliance with regulatory and quality standards

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement:

Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) 

For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24:

Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) 

Credentials Requirement:

Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire.  In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hireCertification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice. In some states and/or facilities state certification/licensure is required at the time of hire
