About the Opportunity

Talent Connection is partnering with a large enterprise organization seeking an experienced Senior Security Engineer to help strengthen and modernize its cybersecurity program. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise security technologies that protect infrastructure, cloud environments, endpoints, and sensitive business data.

The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise with strategic thinking and enjoys collaborating across IT, infrastructure, cloud, and application teams to improve the organization's overall security posture.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement enterprise security solutions that align with cybersecurity best practices and organizational objectives.
  • Evaluate emerging security technologies and recommend improvements that reduce organizational risk.
  • Develop security standards, technical documentation, and implementation guidelines.
  • Lead security initiatives from planning through deployment, ensuring solutions are properly configured, integrated, and validated.
  • Partner with infrastructure, networking, cloud, application development, and operations teams to embed security throughout the technology lifecycle.
  • Provide advanced troubleshooting and Tier III support for enterprise security platforms.
  • Perform root cause analysis for security incidents and recommend long-term corrective actions.
  • Support cloud security architecture and contribute to security maturity initiatives across hybrid environments.
  • Assist with vendor evaluations, product selection, proof-of-concepts, and technology roadmaps.
  • Ensure security controls support regulatory, compliance, and business requirements.
  • Participate in vulnerability management, threat detection, incident response, and continuous security improvement initiatives.
  • Create implementation plans, project timelines, and technical documentation for security projects.
Qualifications

Preferred Experience

  • 7+ years of progressive Information Security experience supporting enterprise environments.
  • Experience working within large, complex organizations.
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR/XDR)
    • Mobile Device Security
    • Endpoint Protection Platforms
    • SIEM technologies
    • Cloud Security
    • Identity & Access Management
    • Threat Detection and Incident Response
    • Security Automation and Orchestration (SOAR)

    • File Integrity Monitoring
    • Security Analytics
  • Experience securing Windows, Linux, cloud platforms, databases, and enterprise networks.
  • Knowledge of current cybersecurity threats, attack techniques, and mitigation strategies.
  • Familiarity with security frameworks such as NIST, CIS Controls, or ISO 27001.
  • Experience evaluating and implementing enterprise security products.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to estimate project effort, develop implementation plans, and manage technical deliverables.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline preferred. Equivalent experience and advanced security certifications will also be considered.
  • Industry certifications such as CISSP, GIAC, Security+, CCSP, Azure Security Engineer, or similar are a plus.
