MD Custom Rx Compounding Pharmacy offers the broadest range of custom prescription options in Wisconsin from an experience staff of pharmacy professionals.

Our commitment to providing the highest quality compounded prescriptions is demonstrated by holding an accreditation through the Pharmacy Compounding Accreditation Board (PCAB), a division of Accreditation Commission for Health Care (ACHC).

Here you are treated as an individual and not a diagnosis. From non-standard dosages and combinations of drugs, to custom drug delivery methods like topical creams and lollipops. We provide alternative treatments, which are frequently effective in relieving symptoms of multiple sclerosis, autism, cancer, thyroid problems, and other conditions.

We are seeking a Compounding Pharmacy Technician to became a part of our team! You will assist in the preparation of medications under the direction of a pharmacist.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare medication and other healthcare products for patients
  • Measure dosage of medications, according to prescription orders
  • Process prescriptions using computer software
  • Label and record dosage information
  • Monitor storage and inventory of medications and supplies
  • Maintain accurate patient records and profiles
  • Provide excellent customer service to patients and healthcare professionals
  • Answer phone calls and address inquiries from patients and healthcare providers
  • Follow all relevant laws, regulations, and safety standards in the pharmacy

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in pharmacy or other related fields
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a pharmacy technician training program preferred
  • Register as a Pharmacy Technician with the State Board of Pharmacy
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with common prescription medications
  • Proficiency in using pharmacy software systems for prescription processing and inventory management
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with precision in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA guidelines
  • Familiarity with non-sterile compounding is a plus

MD Custom Rx is an independent, family owned, Milwaukee area compounding pharmacy that differs from traditional pharmacies in that we do not dispense commercially manufactured pharmaceuticals. At MD Custom Rx, all prescriptions are custom-made for patients based on physician orders. The pharmacy is stocked with raw pharmaceutical grade ingredients used in the preparation of medications for medical conditions, skin conditions, dental treatments, veterinary medicine and pediatric care. Unique equipment such as an ointment mill, powder blender, electronic balance, encapsulation machine, powder containment hood, and incubators are used by Monica Zatarski, PharmD and our professional staff to prepare custom prescriptions.
