Advanced Practice Provider- Urgent Care Spring Hill

JOB SUMMARY - Urgent Care Clinic The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) provides general and specialty medical and/or surgical services to individuals, families and groups, emphasizing health promotion and disease prevention as well as diagnosis and management of acute and chronic diseases. The APP will have an opportunity to practice autonomously and collaboratively within their established scope. All TGH team members are responsible for performing job duties in accordance with the mission, vision and values in accordance with Tampa General Hospital.

RESPONSIBILITIES - Urgent Care Clinic Daily evaluation of patients and associated documentation, in the urgent care setting Consultation & evaluation of adult and pediatric patients Communicate with primary & multidisciplinary team to collaborate on the management of complex patients with primary and urgent care needs Workman's compensation, Department of Transportation, and occupational health evaluations Requests, interprets and evaluates diagnostic and laboratory tests and takes appropriate actions as medically indicated in accordance with departmental protocols. Identifies and reports any specific signs and symptoms, problems or potential problems requiring further assessment, communication and/or intervention to promote positive outcomes. Works autonomously as well as in collaboration with a variety of individuals to diagnose and manage clients' health care problems.

TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES Demonstrates current knowledge and level of expertise utilizing evidence and theory-based practice, infection control standards and clinical evaluations in providing care to clients in clinic or hospital-based settings, as evidenced by following established protocols. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and electronic medical records (EMR) systems, preferably Epic Ability to multitask in a dynamic environment. Strong written and oral communication skills. Outstanding customer service and conflict resolution abilities.

Qualifications Current licensure as Advanced Practice Registered Nurse or Physician Assistant in the State of Florida. Family Nurse Practitioner board certification for APRN s. National certification is required for Pas. Occupational Health certification preferred Experience in primary or urgent care strongly preferred. One year of primary or urgent care experience required.
