Materials & Process Engineer (Advanced Manufacturing) Overview

The Materials & Process Engineer will advance and refine manufacturing processes involving directed energy, controlled reactive environments, and metalโ€“ceramic interface engineering. This role focuses on transforming material performance through precise thermal, energetic, and phase-control processes at microstructural scales.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and qualify process parameters for advanced manufacturing and surface-engineering systems
  • Collaborate with R&D and manufacturing teams to transition lab-scale methods to production
  • Characterize microstructural, chemical, and mechanical outcomes to optimize performance
  • Support documentation, data analysis, and process-control protocols
Qualifications
  • B.S. or M.S. in Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline
  • Experience with high-temperature or surface-engineering processes (laser, plasma, PVD/CVD, HIP, or similar)
