Advanced Manufacturing Engineer
Minimum 5 Years experience in Manufacturing Engineering
Venteon is currently seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineering Manager to fill a opening with a manufacturing company located in Metro Detroit. The ideal candidates should have a background in engineering, ideally in seating, general assembly or welded assembly.
Requirements of the Advanced Manufacturing Engineer
  • BSME or similar degree required
  • 5+ years of experience in an automotive manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, PFMEA & Control Plans
  • Experience with automotive interior or seating systems preferred
  • PLEX experience a plus
  • Experience with general assembly or welded assembly processes a plus

Responsibilities of the Advanced Manufacturing Engineer
  • Lead manufacturing process development for new seating programs from concept through production launch.
  • Develop manufacturing process flows, work instructions, PFMEA, control plans, and standardized work documentation.
  • Design and implement assembly processes for seat structures, foam, trim, mechanisms, and final seat assembly.
  • Specify, source, and validate manufacturing equipment, tooling, fixtures, and automation systems.
  • Coordinate equipment installation, commissioning, runoff, and production readiness activities.
  • Conduct process capability studies and ensure manufacturing processes meet customer quality requirements.
  • Support APQP activities, including Process Flow Diagrams, PFMEA, Control Plans, Run-at-Rate, and PPAP submissions.
