Job Summary

The Key Account Manager is responsible for making substantive contributions to the Advanced Instruments Artel Bio Portfolio growth in the life science markets and its leadership position in the laboratory industry - through implementing strategic customer-facing programs for the current and future range of products and services in the defined selling territory. You will have responsibility for a critical portion of Advanced Instrumentsโ€™ revenue objectives, which will be measured by reaching quarterly and annual sales quotas and achieving opportunity creation targets in collaboration with Inside Sales, Field Application Scientists, and leadership teams.

Responsibilities

Identifying and solving customer pains in their automation workflows financially and technically, handling objections, negotiating value, promoting key benefits of working with our company. Information gathered in the field will be updated in our CRM and forecasting is required through effective use of that platform.

They will behave with leadership, ownership, accountability, and will always give their best to support our customers, team, and the company in a constructive way.

  • Exceptional integrity and high degree of personal accountability
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in business, science, or engineering (or equivalent experience)
  • 5 years of experience in capital equipment sales
  • Preferred experience in automated liquid handling in Biotech / biopharma market focus
  • Experienced in complex sales processes
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, both commercially and technically
  • Highly interpersonal and strong passion for sales methodology
  • Good level in IT (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Experience with CRM (ideally Salesforce.com)
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Ability to engage with customers, partners and internal teams

Physical Requirements for this role include:

  • Willing to travel 50% of working time
  • Ability to travel as required (including air and ground transportation).
  • Ability to stand and engage with customers for extended periods.
  • Ability to adapt to varying work environments (e.g., customer sites, laboratories, offices).

Targeted Salary Range: $85,000 - $130,000/year
