About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Product Data Specialist to manage and optimize product information for our automotive tools and equipment business. This role is heavily focused on advanced Excel analysis, product data management, data quality, and supplier data onboarding.
The ideal candidate is highly skilled in Excel, comfortable working with large datasets, and has experience managing product information, catalogs, attributes, and taxonomy within a PIM or ERP environment. Experience in the automotive aftermarket, tools, industrial, or related distribution industries is strongly preferred.
This is not an IT support or help desk position. We are looking for someone who can analyze, organize, and improve product data while partnering with suppliers, category managers, eCommerce teams, and business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and improve product data within our Product Information Management (PIM) system
  • Analyze large product datasets using advanced Excel techniques
  • Import, validate, cleanse, and enrich supplier product data
  • Create and maintain product attributes, categories, and taxonomy structures
  • Identify and resolve data quality issues
  • Develop reports and dashboards to monitor data quality and business performance
  • Partner with category managers and suppliers to collect and improve product content
  • Support product launches, assortment expansion, and eCommerce initiatives
  • Utilize Excel, Power Query, and SQL to validate and transform data
  • Recommend process improvements that increase data accuracy and efficiency

Required Qualifications
MUST HAVE
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including:

    • Power Query
    • Pivot Tables
    • XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP
    • Complex formulas
    • Data validation and transformation

  • Experience managing large product catalogs or master data
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience working with product attributes, taxonomy, and data governance
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

HIGHLY PREFERRED
  • Experience in the automotive aftermarket, tools, industrial, manufacturing, or distribution industries
  • Experience with a Product Information Management (PIM) system such as STEP (Stibo), Akeneo, Pimberly, Pimcore, or inriver
  • SQL experience for data analysis and validation
  • Experience supporting eCommerce product catalogs and marketplaces
