Work Environment

The work setting for this position is an onsite acute care hospital in Chicago, Illinois. Working in a modern facility equipped with advanced diagnostic and surgical technologies, our ENT team collaboratively addresses a variety of complex conditions. The popular clinic hours are Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. However, as a PA, you may also participate in rotational on-call duties, ensuring that patients have access to care 24/7 for emergencies and urgent treatments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough medical examinations and patient assessments, utilizing advanced diagnostic tools to identify ENT conditions promptly.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s specific needs, ensuring evidence-based practices are implemented.
  • Order, perform, and interpret a variety of diagnostic tests including imaging and audiometric evaluations to assist in diagnosis.
  • Educate patients and their families on treatment options, recovery processes, and preventive measures, driving patient engagement and adherence to care plans.
  • Collaborate closely with ENT surgeons and other healthcare team members to facilitate a multidisciplinary approach to patient care.
  • Document clinical findings and treatments in our electronic health record system, maintaining accurate and compliant medical records.
  • Stay updated on the latest advancements in ENT care and techniques to continuously refine skills and deliver superior patient outcomes.
Patient Population / Client Focus

As an ENT Physician Assistant at Kaweah Healthcare, you will work with a diverse group of patients experiencing a wide array of conditions such as chronic sinusitis, hearing loss, and sleep apnea, as well as assist in pre- and post-operative care for those undergoing surgical procedures. With a strong emphasis on family involvement in the treatment process, you will have the opportunity to educate and engage patients in their healthcare journey.

Qualifications
  • A valid and current Physician Assistant (PA) license is required.
  • Successful completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, allowing for effective rapport with patients and teamwork with colleagues.

Preferred Experience
