Job description


As a Sr. Advanced Electrical Engineer here at Honeywell, you will play a pivotal role in advancing the design and development of cutting-edge electrical systems and components. Use your advanced knowledge of the hardware engineering discipline, processes, and tools to help Honeywell HPS deliver innovative solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers.  You will work under limited supervision and alongside some of the world's most talented engineers.  You will contribute to the development of Honeywell's next generation of industrial automation, sensing and control products by designing, testing and/or validating products/processes from prototype to market.  You will be part of a group of highly committed professionals who provide expertise to ensure the success of complex engineering projects and programs while acting as a mentor to more junior engineers.  
You will report directly to our Sr. Engineering Manager, and you'll work out of our Ft. Washington, PA location on a Hybrid work schedule.

You will interact with internal and external customers to facilitate the completion of products to customer specifications.  Use your advanced hardware engineering knowledge by working on exciting products and processes serving customers globally Refine and expand your engineering skills in a team-based culture by working with innovative products and technologies.  Partner with various project teams to reach effective solutions to complex hardware engineering problems.

YOU MUST HAVE

BS in Electrical Engineering or related field
At least 15 years of experience in electronic design and related fields
Subject matter expert in Intrinsically Safe design of electronic circuits
Experience with TUV safety certification requirements and documentation
Expert in power supply analysis, simulation, and design
Experience with signal integrity measurements and simulation
Experience with Honeywell Field Products Transmitter design and certification
Experience with APL communication hardware layer circuit requirements and operation

Experience P-Spice or Cadence software simulation package
Experience with HC900 Modular Control System

Guide engineers, technicians and associates to ensure project and product compliance

Communicate any non-compliance incidents and results of internal project audits to pertinent parties
Establish and follow methodologies for new or existing concepts
Identify opportunities and propose technical improvements by applying advanced electrical engineering knowledge and principles
Suggest enhancements to advance projects
