Urology Advanced Practice Provider

Rush Copley Medical Center

Aurora, IL

Rush Copley Medical Center, in Aurora, Illinois, part of the Rush University System for Health network of hospitals, invites applications for the position of Urology Advanced Practice Provider . This provider will manage routine, non-surgical conditions (e.g. infection, frequency, hematuria, abnormal labs), and support post-operative and hospital follow-up care, including void trials and catheter exchanges.

Department/division specs

  • Practice alongside two Urologists in a high-quality, patient-centered ambulatory environment.

  • Part of a nationally ranked academic health system with strong APP leadership and support.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Five, 8-hour shifts/week

  • Weekdays

  • No call

  • 100% outpatient with occasional inpatient coverage planned in future.

Preferred Qualifications:

· Applicants with previous Advanced Practice Provider experience in Urology or surgical specialty (General Surgery, or related fields).

· Ambulatory experience is strongly preferred.

· Relevant RN experience will be considered.

· APRN Candidates will require Acute Care Certification.

Position Requirements:

Nurse Practitioner:

  • Current licensure from the State of Illinois as a Registered Professional Nurse and Advanced Practice Nurse or eligible to obtain a licensure through the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) application process

  • Master of Science in Nursing or Doctorate of Nursing practice with clinical specialty appropriate to position

  • Current certification by American Nurse Credentialing Center (ANCC) or American Academy of Nurse Practitioner (AANP)

  • CPR, ACLS, and PALS certifications

Physician Assistant:

  • Current licensure from the State of Illinois as a Physician Assistant/Associate or eligible to obtain a licensure through the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) application process

  • Successful completion of an accredited Physician Assistant/Associate Program

  • Current certification from National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants

  • CPR, ACLS, and PALS certifications

The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) will promote collaboration between multiple disciplines to ensure cost effective and quality patient care. The individual who holds this position will exemplify the Rush mission, vision and values and act in accordance with the policies, procedures, guidelines of Rush, including the Rush Medical Group Customer Service standards. Successful candidates will also meet all other state and federal regulatory practice and accreditation standards.

Rush offers competitive total compensation that includes base pay, benefits, and other incentive programs for our employees. The total pay range shown reflects the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, specialty; relevant experience and training; and other business and organizational factors. This total pay range is for a full-time, 1.0 FTE employee, and includes any incentive payments that may be applicable to this role. Additional compensation may include premium pay rates, sign-on bonuses, and relocation allowances. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package.

Pay Range: $108,000 - $163,000
