Job Summary:

The Director of Business Development is a key strategic role responsible for driving new revenue growth across North America. Reporting directly to the Chief Commercial Officer, this leader will build and maintain high-impact relationships with both existing and prospective customers to identify new opportunities and implement growth strategies. This position plays a critical role in supporting Arterexโ€™s growth plans by presenting our end-to-end solutions to potential customers.

Reports to:Chief Commercial Officer

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Market Expansion:Develop and execute market strategies that align with Arterexโ€™s capabilities and emerging trends. Identify new business opportunities, communicate them across the organization, and lead seamless implementation to deliver measurable results.
  • Consultative Selling & Opportunity Development:Utilize a solution-based sales approach to expand business in existing and new accounts. Work collaboratively across value streams and cross-functional teams to execute Customer and Category Opportunity Plans.
  • Revenue & Target Ownership:Set, manage, and exceed sales and project goals in line with strategic growth plans. Deliver against NRE targets, product expansion objectives, and position Arterex as a preferred partner in the Class II and III medical device space.
  • Cross-functional Leadership:Act as a key partner in launch readiness and post-launch success by aligning closely with Product Development, Engineering, Project Management, Sales, and Marketing teams to ensure flawless execution and customer satisfaction.
  • Industry Representation & Customer Relations:Strengthen Arterexโ€™s reputation by fostering relationships with key stakeholders, industry groups, and OEMs. Cultivate trust, confidence, and preference for Arterex as a top-tier contract manufacturer.
  • Leadership Team Engagement:Participate actively in strategic planning and organizational growth as a member of the broader leadership team. Collaborate closely with the CCO, GMs, and Business Unit Leaders to shape and implement long-term commercial strategies.
  • Performance & Accountability:Maintain a strong focus on measurable outcomes. Provide accurate forecasts, competitive intelligence, and performance updates to senior leadership.

Education and Experience:

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in business development within medical device contract manufacturing, with a strong focus on Class II and III single-use and electromechanical devices.
  • Deep understanding of the medical device manufacturing ecosystem, including ,selling contract design services, complex single-use devices and electromechanical assemblies.
  • Proven success selling to large medical device OEMs and/or pharmaceutical companies.
  • Established network of senior-level decision-makers in the medical device industry.
