Sheltering Arms Institute is seeking an Assistant Manager, Nursing to join the team. The Assistant Manager, Nursing is responsible for creating safe, healthy environments that support the work of the health care team and contribute to patient engagement. The role is influential in creating a professional environment and fostering a culture where interdisciplinary team members are able to contribute to optimal patient outcomes and grow professionally. Leads, develops and manages team members employing mentorship and providing opportunities for growth. In addition, the Assistant Manager, Nursing establishes and maintains an environmental control plan, coordinates materials management for the department, and assists in monitoring clinical activities.
Qualifications and Skills
  • 3 years nursing experience in an acute care, inpatient rehab or outpatient rehab setting; 5+ years preferred
  • Leadership or supervisory experience; 3+ years preferred

Education/Certifications
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program required; BSN preferred
  • Virginia RN License in good standing
  • AHA BLS HCP certification or equivalent
  • Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse preferred
