Job description

GENERAL SUMMARY:

The Home Care RN provides professional nursing care to neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations through full implementation of the five phases of the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation) and professional standards of care in the home care setting.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Associates degree in nursing.
  • Enrollment in a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program within 3 years of hire
  • Completion of a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) within 5 years of hire
  • Effective written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to problem-solve. Knowledge about the care of the pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patient required.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Experience working in a Home Health environment preferred.
  • Current Michigan Registered Nurse license required.
  • Valid Michigan Driver's license required.
  • Dependable vehicle insured as required by the State of Michigan required.
