What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an Aduanas (Customs Officer), and why are they important?

To thrive as a Customs Officer, you need a solid understanding of customs regulations, trade compliance, and import/export procedures, often supported by a degree in law, international business, or a related field. To address these challenges, it’s important to develop strong organizational skills, maintain open communication with team members, and stay informed about regulatory updates through continuous training. Leveraging technology and process automation can also help streamline daily tasks and reduce errors.
