The Opportunity:
At our CACI Fairfax Virginia facility you will be involved in all stages of design and development of high-performance state-of-the-art antennas. We develop unique solutions to address our nation's most challenging technical requirements that cannot be met by commercially available antennas. Our capabilities include industry standard software tools for RF analysis and antenna design such as ADS, WASP-NET, HFSS, and GRASP, prototyping and fabrication facility, and our own state of the art Spherical Near Field Range.
Responsibilities:
As a hands-on Antenna Engineer, you will design antennas structures for 100MHz-40GHz RF range, including but not limited to:
  • Electronically Steered Arrays
  • Specialized broadband antennas
  • Reflector feeds
  • Shaped reflector systems to meet unique mission requirements

You will help define the RF requirements and architecture to meet mission requirements for new systems:
  • Perform analysis of alternative designs and develop the overall RF architecture. You must have a strong understanding of, and passion for, antennas and RF technology.
  • Mentor team members and supervise design and development to provide new technical solutions that can be deployed to fielded systems to support the warfighter.

Qualifications:
Required:
  • Minimum 2 years of antenna design experience and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering with focus in Electromagnetics and Antennas or minimum of 1 year of experience with a Master's Degree.
  • In depth understanding of RF system design processes and trades.
  • Knowledge of RF propagation, antenna structures, and their electromagnetic behavior.
  • Experienced in using tools such as HFSS and MATLAB
  • Experience in designing, building, and testing prototype RF systems and antennas
  • Hands on experience with Vector Network Analyzers and Spectrum Analyzers.
  • Must be eager to learn and develop additional technical skills.

Desired:
  • Active TS/SCI clearance
  • Experience in the analysis, design, and testing of phased arrays and reflector systems.
  • Experience in antenna performance characterization using indoor test ranges.

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
