Job description

Three Waters Resort & Marina, a Marriott Tribute Portfolio Resort, offers more than a place to work - it’s a chance to be part of one of the most exciting, experience-driven destinations in the Florida Keys. Set across 15 oceanfront acres in Islamorada, the resort features 214 guest rooms, a 72-slip marina, watersports, indoor and outdoor event venues, and nine distinct culinary outlets, along with the only resort water taxi in the Keys and a unique adult-only retreat within the resort. For team members, this means exposure to a wide range of high-energy, guest-facing experiences - from elevated hospitality and events to marina and lifestyle programming. Team members are part of a collaborative, fast-paced environment where they can build diverse skills, contribute creatively, and play a direct role in delivering memorable, shareworthy experiences in one of the most beautiful destinations in the country.

The Senior Complex Marketing Director is the strategic marketing and brand leader responsible for driving awareness, demand, revenue, and market share across a multi-property portfolio: Three Waters Resort, Amara Cay Resort, La Siesta Resort and Parrot Key Resort. This role develops and executes integrated marketing strategies that align with commercial objectives and encompass brand positioning, digital marketing, public relations, content, partnerships, events, social media, and customer engagement initiatives.

As a key member of the Executive Committee, the Senior Complex Marketing Director partners closely with Operations, Revenue Management, Sales, Food & Beverage, and ownership stakeholders to ensure marketing investments support business priorities and measurable performance outcomes. Leveraging market intelligence, customer insights, and hotel performance metrics including ADR, occupancy, and market mix, this leader identifies opportunities to strengthen positioning, drive demand, and maximize return on investment.

Success in this role requires a combination of strategic vision, commercial acumen, creativity, and strong leadership. The ideal candidate is an entrepreneurial and highly collaborative marketer who excels at leading cross-functional teams, managing agency and partner relationships, influencing senior stakeholders, building data-informed strategies, and delivering integrated campaigns that enhance brand equity, guest preference, and overall business performance.

Key Responsibilities include:

Provide strategic leadership for the development and execution of integrated marketing strategies that drive awareness, demand, revenue, and long-term brand value across a multi-property resort portfolio. Develop and manage annual marketing plans and budgets in close partnership with property leadership, Operations, Sales, Revenue Management, Food & Beverage, and above-property marketing teams. Leverage business intelligence—including ADR, occupancy, market mix, need periods, customer behavior, and campaign performance—to establish targeted objectives and measurable strategies that optimize commercial performance and return on investment. Oversee the full marketing ecosystem, including digital advertising, content strategy, creative development, brand storytelling, media relations, public relations, events, and strategic partnerships across culinary, wellness, fashion, art, design, lifestyle, and culture.

Serve as a key member of the Executive Committee and strategic business partner, ensuring marketing priorities are closely aligned with overall property and portfolio objectives. Lead agency partners and the property marketing team, establishing clear performance expectations and using data and reporting to evaluate results, optimize investment, and continuously refine strategy. Champion a consistent, elevated brand experience across all guest-facing channels and touchpoints while identifying innovative opportunities to strengthen brand equity, engage in-house and local audiences, build guest loyalty, and generate incremental demand and revenue. Regularly communicate marketing strategy, performance, opportunities, and key initiatives to property leadership, corporate partners, and ownership stakeholders.

  • 10+ years’ experience in hotel marketing, digital or related professional field. 3+ years in a leadership position.
  • Experience with Marriott or other brand hotel systems a plus
  • Strong experience managing muti-channel marketing ecosystems, including digital, paid media, PR, social, content, CRM and partnerships.
  • Proven track record of developing culturally relevant marketing campaigns and integrated 360 strategies that strengthen brand positioning and drive measurable business performance.
  • Experience leading creative campaign development, public relations initiatives, strategic partnerships, and brand events.
  • Strong business and financial acumen, with fluency in performance metrics, ROI, and hospitality demand drivers including ADR, occupancy, and market mix.
  • Expertise in tracking, analyzing, and optimizing marketing performance across digital platforms.
  • Demonstrated success leading high-performing teams, cross-functional stakeholders, external agencies, and strategic partners.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a high degree of initiative, ownership, and self-direction, with the ability to operate effectively in a dynamic multi-property environment.
  • Strong executive presence and ability to influence senior leadership, ownership, and cross-functional stakeholders.
